UCWN members and guests gathered at The Lodge in Woodstock to say goodbye to Ulster County Women’s Network legendary Melody Newcombe, who decided after many, many years to step down as our president to focus her energy on her many other creative endeavors. Leaving the ongoing organizational responsibilities to co-president, Sydelle Freed and the Volunteer Advisory Committee (see FAQs for a list of members and their roles and how you can become more involved!

However in true Melody fashion, Melody insisted on entertaining us with an evening of magic, storytelling and laughs leaving us all smiling over dinner and conversation. Advisory Committee Member Sara Beames donated a custom gift box that the membership filled with Rainy Day Notes to remind Melody of how precious and talented we all see her. How her ready smile, encouragment and hard work had meant so much to us as individuals and the Ulster County Women’s Network as a whole. Melody all of Ulster County Women’s Network wishes you great success with your new projects!
