Due to a rescheduling of a future program, we will meet for a happy hour gathering one week later than usual this month, now on Tuesday, April 16, at Ole Savannah’s. This is a week to refocus our eyes and celebrate taxes done!
The real important events of this month, both urgently needing your attendance:
First, on April 18, is Caren Martineau’s dinner at Tilda’s Kitchen in Kingston. It’s the perfect fun event to gather with our group and other locals for a terrific dinner (note new dinner price). This is the perfect beginning to our Network-sponsored event. RSVP is easy, call (845) 663-2286. Pay at door! Read more details here: https://ucwn.org/the-art-soul-of-comfort-food/
Second is our Death Literacy 101 program. Starting April 26, we begin our UCWN program that we created because you asked for it. Caren Martineu of Bevival.com has worked with us and teamed with the Ulster County Office of the Aging to make this happen! A year’s work to gather these great experts for you! Read more details here: https://ucwn.org/death-literacy-what-is-it-and-why-should-you-care/
Please call The Ulster County Office of the Aging at (845) 340-3456 to register. So easy! While there are three sessions on three subsequent Fridays, you are not required to attend all three. Attend April 26, May 3, and/or May 10. Review the Death Literacy Agenda here to determine which sessions interest you. These sessions are in a lovely open space with easy parking and access at the Office for the Aging on Ulster Avenue: The Hub!
For questions or help with these two events, please contact Sheila (917) 797-9087.
These events are for all age adults, not just seniors! You won’t get this chance again to gain this information from experts at this price to you! $0! Yes, space is limited! RSVP now!
May and June events bring us to the arts around us in the Hudson Valley and outdoor events as we move into summer!
Hope to see you all soon!
Sheila Gould, VP UCWN
