Please join us in welcoming Arlene Gould to the UCWN Advisory Committee as secretary. Arlene retired in December 2019 after six years as Executive Coordinator at the Jewish Federation of Ulster County, a position she was appointed to thanks to her meeting Sara Beames at a UCWN event and joining their Fall for Art Committee—networking works! Arlene has had the good fortune to have had a most interesting career, mostly in arts management, both in New York City and the Hudson Valley. She held a variety of positions with such non-profits as: the Metropolitan Museum of Art Concert & Lectures Office, Hudson Valley Philharmonic, the New York Philharmonic, Eleanor Roosevelt Center at Valkill, Mill Street Loft, and the Arnold P. Gold Foundation (fostering humanism in Medicine), among others. While she had planned to join the team at Horses for a Change in March 2020, the COVID pandemic ended that plan.
Arlene first became a member of the UCWN shortly after moving to Accord in 2005 and says she is most grateful for the opportunity to serve as secretary of the Advisory Committee. We are fortunate to have her time and efforts, with her broad experience to benefit our network. Please email your welcome to Arlene at secretary@ucwn.org.
