You’ve probably seen Rachel, community partners coordinator, and Gloria, historian, at recent events. (Gloria is the one with the camera.) They have served on the board since the fall of 2018. We are grateful to have them and their expertise on our team.
Rachel Jackson is a financial advisor with a leading Wall Street firm.
She previously worked in New York, selling Asian equities research and economics & strategy advice to money managers based in the US and Canada. She did this for over 20 years at several investment banks including Schroders, Dresdner, Deutsche and Citigroup.
She has an MBA in Finance from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management; and an AB in Economics from Ateneo de Manila University.
She and her husband Bruce have lived in this area since 1993, initially as weekenders and later as full-time residents from 2014. They love the beauty and serenity of the Catskill Mountains, as well as its history, art, and music.
Rachel likes to support her favorite causes such as Byrdcliffe Guild of Craftsmen, Woodstock Public Library, Woodstock Land Conservancy, and Rotary Foundation, to name a few.
Gloria Waslyn is Executive Director of a not for profit, Parrots For Peace, an organization that brings a family of blue and gold macaws to peace and sustainability events and is creating a long-term sanctuary for visitors to engage in peace programs inclusive of a whole planet sustainability view. She is a curator of Uptown Gallery at the Fair John ArtSpace and Music Salon in Stockade District of Kingston. She is also a professional documentary photographer.
Gloria has been a career management consultant for global executives in the financial sector (commercial and investment banks, hedge funds, top accounting, legal, and consulting firms), and continues to provide strategy and communications coaching.
