Penny reads her work throughout the region. She curated three performances at Cocoon Theatre supporting poets in the visual and musical performance of their work. She has set her own poems to music, dance, and theatre. She is currently working on a manuscript entitled “The Architecture That Held Them.”

Sabrina Miller

“From the wheat fields and gypsum plateaus of northwest Oklahoma, my affinity for words led me to relocate to the beautiful mountains and rich artistic history of the Catskills. In my time here, I have since compiled hundreds of pages of poetry that now live as song lyrics. I have performed spoken word at several local venues and it was one fateful gathering where I met my band mate, Rennie Cantine, who asked me to do spoken word with his band. Ever since, I began playing guitar and mandolin, composing words into music, and we are close to finishing our second album as Sabrina and the Gems. While I have worn many hats, I am—at heart—a poet and cherish any opportunity to return to my roots, strongly embedded in the soil of a wordsmith.” www.sparklepoetess.com

Cheryl A. Rice

Cheryl A. Rice’s poems have appeared in Baltimore Review, Home Planet News, Misfit Magazine, and Trailer Park Quarterly, among others. Recent books include Love’s Compass (Kung Fu Treachery Press), and Until the Words Came (Post Traumatic Press), the latter coauthored with Guy Reed. Her blog is at: http://flyingmonkeyprods.blogspot.com/. Rice lives in New York’s Hudson Valley.
