Betty Gilpatric will lead us through a 5 Elements Qigong Practice. This is essentially a way of balancing body (internal organs),mind (emotions) and spirit (intention). She will give a brief explanation to help everyone understand what Qigong is and the positive impact it can have on one’s health. Following that will be a 15-20-minute practice. This will consist of physical movement of the arms only, so everyone will be able to do it and come as you are: no special clothing or footwear needed.

Betty began practicing Qigong (Qi=energy Gong=skillful movement) in February 2013. She had been dealing with health issues that left her off balance and weak and her cousin happened to read an article in The Chronogram about Master Kwan Sai-hung and teacher, Paul Bloom. She went to the class at the Mountain View Studio in Woodstock and it was a life-changing experience! This inspired her to begin a deeper practice, she has never felt better, more fit or more serene.
Six months ago she began teaching Qigong and will be receiving certification from Dr. Yang at the Center for Taiji & Qigong Studies in July.

Dinner at The Peterson House, located in the Bearsville Theatre Complex, will include salad, roasted veggies, rice/cous cous, meat/chicken skewers and dessert, served family style. Tax and tip are included.
