Please join the UCWN Advisory Committee as we say “thank you” to Rachel Jackson, who served as our first Community Relations Coordinator. During her two-year tenure, Rachel established the Business Partners program, building relationships with more than a dozen Ulster County businesses that now offer members a 10- to 15-percent discount on goods and services. Two other contributions stand out: her coordination, with Kristin Wenger, of our delightful and memorable September 2019 luncheon event at the late Elena Zang’s gallery, and also her work with Susan Metzger of Renaissance Consulting on the Preferences Survey, completed in February 2020. In spite of her busy schedule at Morgan Stanley in Kingston, Rachel showed up to all the committee meetings, offering her well-thought-out opinions. A long-time member of Rotary International, Rachel was recently elected to serve on its board, whose meetings, unfortunately for us, conflict with our Tuesday evening events. Gratitude for all that you have done for UCWN, and best to you in your future endeavors.
