A Letter from the President
Given that we are having a fun overview of travel from member Kathe Krauss on March 7, our regular second Tuesday time slot on March 14 is open. Let’s meet at the Academy Green in Kingston at 5:00 p.m. for a walk around the triangular block and then head to Keegan Ales at 5:30 for a meet and greet, and perhaps an Irish song, story, or a mesmerizing tale of the Celtic fairies welcoming in the Spring’s first signs of green on the brink of St. Patrick’s Day. We’ll also hear a bit of the older history of women’s culture in Ireland pre-St. Patrick’s Day. Wear Green!
We have a great surprise guest to add a bit of sparkle.
Because we’ll have a few ideas percolating after Kathe’s travel overview on the first Tuesday, we may wish to have a bit of informal conversation with ourselves to mull over our next steps; to see if a day trip, weekend fun excursion, or a longer trip as a UCWN members and friends trip is on the horizon. We may really enjoy going to some wonderful place together, domestically or abroad. We can also talk about the next cluster of events, which are designed to be uplifting and address aging with beauty, grace, vitality, and fun.
We are looking forward to our March 7 talk by Kathe Krauss and other members who can share their recent travel experiences and also to March 14 to have some fun.
Onwards and upwards,
Gloria Waslyn
