UCWN Privacy Policy

The Ulster County Women’s Network (UCWN) offers this Privacy Policy based on the 2018 EU General Data Protection Regulations (GDRP). It is an opt in system.

For Subscribers and Members

A “subscriber” is a woman who signs up for our Mailchimp email distribution list to receive emails. Subscribers have limited access to ucwn.org. A “member”is a woman who has paid the annual $25 membership and who is also a newsletter subscriber. Members have full use of ucwn.org after logging in.

Our Mailchimp email distribution list is used solely to inform members of the organization’s activities or solicit their opinions about the organization. We do not share or sell your personally identifiable information to any other person or organization for any purpose whatsoever.

Members and subscribers are free to share business cards and brochures at in-person meetings.

Zoom events may be recorded. You are informed of this when you register or buy tickets for any particular event.

You may opt out of our emails at any time by clicking the Unsubscribe link in the footer of any email we send or by emailing president@ucwn.org.

For Members Only

UCWN does not collect or aggregate members’ information except for official, internal use. Our UCWN Membership Directory, online or in print, is also only for members’ use, to learn about and to facilitate networking with each other. 

By becoming a member of UCWN, you agree not to share information about other members with people or organizations outside the UCWN for any purpose. You may not add any member’s email to your email distribution list without their explicit permission. If someone asks you for help in contacting another member, you agree to contact that member first to give her the name and contact information of the person trying to reach her, for use if she decides to respond.

Furthermore, you agree that you will not use information gained from the organization, such as, but not limited to, mailing lists, to solicit other members for any purpose whatsoever. Any member who is given access to the UCWN Mailchimp account will be required to promise in writing not to take the list for use outside of UCWN business.
